Mushroom Hunting Engagement Session in Washington | Rob & Ruby

Rob and Ruby’s engagement session was the perfect reflection of who they are together—peaceful, playful, and deeply connected to nature. We spent the afternoon wandering through the forests of Washington, mushroom hunting beneath towering evergreens and soft filtered light.

Instead of forcing poses, they simply did what they love most—walking hand in hand, scanning the forest floor, and sharing quiet moments in between. These are always my favorite kinds of sessions. When couples bring something meaningful to them, the photos naturally become more honest and personal.

The Pacific Northwest provides the most beautiful backdrop for engagement photos, especially in the forests near Tacoma. The moss, textures, and moody light create a timeless atmosphere that feels both intimate and cinematic.
